Battery Recommendations
This drone is designed for 6S batteries and 7.5-inch long-range battery setups.
Standard LiPo recommendation:
6S 3300–3500mAh LiPo
This is the recommended starting range for a balanced mix of throttle response, manageable weight, stable handling, and practical flight time.
Larger LiPo options:
6S 4000–6000mAh LiPo can be used depending on the desired flight time and use case, but larger LiPo batteries increase takeoff weight and reduce agility.
Li-Ion / endurance cruising:
6S1P 5000mAh Li-Ion is the bare minimum Li-Ion option for this platform. It can be used for very smooth cruising only.
For 7-inch and 7.5-inch long-range platforms, we recommend 6S2P Li-Ion batteries for better throttle response and reduced voltage sag.
Recommended Li-Ion options:
6S2P 8000mAh Li-Ion for long-range endurance cruising
6S2P 10000mAh Li-Ion for maximum range and maximum endurance setups
Important Li-Ion Note:
Compared with 5-inch platforms, 7-inch and 7.5-inch drones draw more power and place higher load on the battery during climbs, wind correction, heavier payloads, and long-distance flights.
A 6S1P Li-Ion pack can experience more voltage sag and weaker throttle response on this size of drone. For this reason, 6S2P Li-Ion packs are strongly recommended when using Li-Ion on the CineLR 7.
Li-Ion batteries are suitable for smooth cruising and endurance-oriented flying. They are not suitable for aggressive freestyle, racing, repeated hard punch-outs, or high-current flying.
Li-Ion batteries behave differently from LiPo batteries and may require adjusted Betaflight voltage warnings. Always configure warning and landing voltages according to the battery chemistry and pack used.
Important Long-Range Battery Note:
Large batteries can strongly change the handling of the drone. A heavier battery may increase cruising time but reduce agility, increase braking distance, increase motor load, and require more careful flight planning.
Always keep sufficient battery reserve for return flight, wind, altitude changes, and unexpected route changes.
Action Camera Support
The CineLR 7 can carry a GoPro or similar action camera when a compatible TPU mount is used.
Adding an action camera increases takeoff weight, changes flight behavior, increases current draw, and usually reduces flight time.
For many long-range flights, the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro onboard recording may already be sufficient, reducing the need for an additional action camera.

Important Note – GPS Rescue and Long-Range Flying
GPS Rescue is a Betaflight safety feature that may help the drone return toward the home point after correct configuration.
It is not a certified return-to-home system and must not be treated as a guarantee that the drone will return safely.
Incorrect GPS Rescue settings, insufficient satellites, wrong failsafe setup, low battery, strong wind, pilot error, terrain, or RF signal loss can still lead to crashes or loss of the drone.
Always test GPS Rescue carefully in a safe area before relying on it, and always keep enough battery reserve for the return flight.

Setup Notes
The drone is delivered with a factory-installed Betaflight preset. Before the first flight, no firmware update, no reset, and no Betaflight changes are required.
BNF means the drone still needs to be bound to your compatible radio controller before flight.
Check all screws, motor direction, propeller orientation, receiver binding, failsafe behavior, OSD, GPS status, video link, LED function, and voltage warning settings before the first flight.
GPS Rescue is not enabled by default. It must be configured, checked, and tested by the pilot before use.
For long-range flying, always verify GPS satellite lock, home point behavior, receiver range, video link quality, battery reserve, wind direction, return route, and local flight restrictions before takeoff.
We strongly recommend not flashing firmware, not resetting Betaflight, and not applying random presets unless you have saved a backup and know exactly which target and configuration are required.
Changelog
January 18, 2025: Propellers changed from HQProp 7.5×3.7×3 to HQProp 7.5×3×3.
March 11, 2025: The material of some TPU parts in the BNF version was changed to injection-molded parts.
FAQ
What does BNF mean?
BNF means Bind-and-Fly. The drone is assembled and factory configured, but it still needs to be bound to your compatible radio controller before flight.
Is this a complete Ready-to-Fly set?
No. This is only the BNF drone. Battery, charger, FPV goggles, radio controller, microSD card, and action camera are not included.
If you need a complete setup, please check our ReadyFly Kits or compatible accessory bundles.
Which receiver version should I choose?
Choose the version that matches your radio controller.
- Use DJI Controller version for DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 or 3.
- Use ELRS True Diversity 2.4GHz for suitable ELRS 2.4GHz radios.
- Use ELRS True Diversity 868/915MHz only for suitable ELRS 868/915MHz radios or modules.
- Use ELRS Dualband Diversity only if your radio hardware and ELRS setup support the required configuration.
- Use TBS Crossfire Diversity if you fly with Crossfire.
Why does my receiver antenna layout look different from the product photos?
Product photos are for display only and may not show every receiver version.
DJI Controller versions do not have separate receiver antennas because control is handled through the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro antennas.
All ELRS and Crossfire Diversity receiver versions use two receiver antennas. Receiver antenna length and layout depend on the selected receiver version and production batch.
Is GPS included?
Yes. The CineLR 7 O4 6S HD includes pre-installed GPS.
Is GPS Rescue enabled by default?
No. GPS Rescue is not enabled by default. It must be configured, checked, and tested by the pilot before use.
Which battery should I use?
For LiPo use, a 6S 3300–3500mAh LiPo is the recommended starting point.
For maximum long-range cruising, we recommend 6S2P Li-Ion batteries such as 8000mAh or 10000mAh.
Can I use a 6S1P 5000mAh Li-Ion battery?
Yes, but it is the bare minimum Li-Ion option for the CineLR 7 and is recommended only for very smooth cruising.
For better throttle response and less voltage sag on this 7.5-inch platform, we recommend 6S2P Li-Ion options such as 8000mAh or 10000mAh for maximum range.
Can I use LiPo batteries?
Yes. LiPo batteries are recommended when you want better throttle response and more dynamic flying. The standard LiPo recommendation is 6S 3300–3500mAh.
Can I use Li-Ion batteries?
Yes. Li-Ion batteries are suitable for smooth long-range cruising and endurance-oriented flying. For this 7.5-inch platform, 6S2P Li-Ion packs are recommended to reduce voltage sag and improve throttle response compared with smaller 6S1P packs.
Can I use a GoPro or action camera?
Yes. The frame can carry a GoPro or similar camera with a compatible TPU mount. Additional payload increases weight and usually reduces flight time.
Is this drone suitable for beginners?
No. This is a large 7.5-inch long-range FPV drone and is recommended for experienced pilots who understand GPS, failsafe setup, battery management, radio range, and local flight rules.
Can I fly in rain or wet conditions?
No. Do not fly in rain, snow, wet grass, fog, or high humidity. Damage caused by water or moisture is not considered a normal manufacturing defect.
Safety Notice
